How to find the museum

By car: when using navigation devices, please enter as address: “Massenerstraße 31”. Many devices still do not recognize Lindenplatz 1. When in Unna, follow the information signs to either “Lindenbrauerei” or the “Zentrum für Internationale Lichtkunst”.

By bus: from the busstop at Central Station you can take bus-lines C 40 or C 42 to the “Lindenbrauerei”.

By train: from the railway station continue your journey by bus or on foot (approx. 15 min) along Bahnhofstraße (pedestrian zone) until you reach Marktplatz, where you turn right into Massener Straße, which you follow straight on until you see the Linden Brewery Unna on the right hand side. The Centre for International Light Art is located in this building.

Parking: We recommend the underground car parks "Neumarkt" or "Flügelstraße". The parking lot "Massener Straße" unfortunately is closed from March to November 2020 due to renovation. Further parking options can be found in the downloadable document "City-Parken in Unna" (german language only).

Unfortunately the museum is not completely accessible and barrier free for disabled people. Guest that make use of a wheelchair can use the lift. The floor in the museum however is quite uneven. Some installations will not be accessible for disabled visitors. This applies to:

Christina Kubisch , Francois Morellet, Rebecca Horn, Christian Boltanski, James Turrell’s "Floater 99" and "Skyspace" "Third Breath".

Please also note that Olafur Eliasson’s installation makes use of stroboscopic lights, which can have an impact on guests suffering from epilepsy.

During our guided tours we do our utmost best and will take into consideration any special requirements. Nevertheless we would appreciate it if you inform us in advance, so we can, for instance, take care of special accompaniment, in order to make the experience unforgettable to all guests.
