New exhibition: SWITCH HBKsaar

10.06. - 10.07.2016

Ingo Wendt

Exhibition by teachers and students of HBKsaar: Marion Cziba, Raika Dittmann, Martin Fell, Daniel Hausig, Ida Kammerloch, Octavian Mariutiu, Nils Martin Müller, Maria Elena Schmidt, Michael Voigt, Ingo Wendt

Artistic director: Bettina Pelz

The artistic examination of light as a material or medium is the focus of the professorship “Light and Intermedia” at Daniel Hausig’s studio. With him, students develop various techniques in the fields of drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, computer graphics, installation, performance, and diverse hybrid forms. The studies aim at developing individual practise as well as experimenting with collective ways of production. Because of this, many new, diverse concepts and artistic positions came into being over the last years that hint at how the artistic examination of light will progress.

For the exhibition in Unna, a number of works were selected that discuss the changeability of colour, form, and space in relation to light and perception.

Entering the museum individually: Sunday June 5th and June 19th!

You can now visit the Centre for International Light Art without taking a guided tour, and enjoy the unique installations of light art at your own pace!

Opening hours: 12 a.m. – 5 p.m., last admission 4.15 p.m. There are no public guided tours on this day.

Entrance fee for all visitors: 8,00 €.

On this day, visitors are allowed to take pictures (WITHOUT a tripod). To take pictures with a tripod please book a photography tour (+49 (0)2303 103 751).
